I'm Esther Abramowitz, and thanks for stopping by my storefront!
I live in Jerusalem, and I love bringing the words of Tehillim and Shir HaShirim to life through calligraphy, watercolor, and ink on parchment.
I like to paint the actual scene a verse describes — a dove tucked into a tree trunk, a spring flowing through old stone — rather than just an abstract feeling.
I often weave Hebrew and English letters together, and surround the words with flowers, birds or other decorative motifs I've painted by hand.
Jerusalem is my home and my biggest inspiration — the Western Wall, the Hurva Synagogue, Ma'ayan HaShiloach — these are the places I love, and I try to capture that love in every piece I make.
